Overview
Deeply Safe respects your privacy. This page explains what information is collected, why, and how it is used. It is kept short because there is little to tell.
It covers two things: this website, and the Deeply Safe practice app for iOS and Android. They work very differently, so they have their own sections below.
This Website
What We Collect
Email address. When you sign up for the free chapters, the newsletter, app notifications, or beta reading access, we collect your email address through MailerLite. That's all we ask for.
Analytics data. If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We don't track individual users across the web. If you decline, no analytics run at all.
How We Use Your Information
Your email is used only to send you what you signed up for — chapter downloads, book launch updates, and occasional letters. We never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
Analytics data helps us improve the site and understand what resonates with visitors.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to run this site:
MailerLite — for email collection and newsletter delivery. MailerLite has its own privacy policy, which you can review at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy.
Google Analytics — for anonymous site analytics. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Netlify — for hosting. Netlify's privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy.
Cookies
This site sets analytics cookies (Google Analytics) only if you accept them in the consent banner. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.
You can change your choice at any time: reopen the cookie banner.
The Deeply Safe App
The app collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, and no login — you open it and practise.
What Stays on Your Phone
Your settings — sound, haptic strength, the time you last chose — are saved on your own device so they are there next time. Nothing is kept about a session once it has ended: no history, no readings, no beat data. The heart rate and heart-rate variability shown at the end of a session are calculated on the phone and discarded when you leave the screen. Nothing is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
If something in the app goes wrong, a short technical error log is kept on the device to help with troubleshooting. It stays there, and it is never sent anywhere.
Bluetooth
The app asks for Bluetooth permission for one purpose: to connect to a heart-rate chest strap and read your heartbeat during a session. It does not scan for anything else, and it does not use Bluetooth to work out where you are. The app needs a strap to run a session, so it needs this permission.
On Android 11 and older, the system requires location permission before any app may scan for Bluetooth devices. If the app asks for it on such a phone, that is the only reason; the app does not read, use or store your location. On Android 12 and newer, and on iPhone, it never asks.
No Analytics, No Tracking
There is no analytics, advertising, or tracking software in the app, so there is nothing to opt out of. The app makes no network requests of its own.
Links Out of the App
A few places in the app open a link in your browser — this website, and the free community on Skool. Once you follow one of those links you are on that site, under this policy for our pages, or Skool’s own policy for theirs.
Deleting Your Data
Delete the app and everything it stored goes with it. There is nothing held on our side to request or erase.
Your Rights
You can unsubscribe from any email list at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. If you'd like your data removed entirely, contact us at hello@deeplysafe.com and we'll take care of it.
